Seaford Hook Ladder and Engine Company No. 1 The Seaford Hook, Ladder & Engine Company #1 has been serving the Seaford community for over 100 years. Our members are volunteers -- neighbors helping neighbors, responding at a moment's notice 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, no matter what the call. Working out of a single firehouse, the Seaford Hook, Ladder & Engine Company #1 is uniquely elite in that every firefighter is trained and expected to perform all functions, from Engine and Truck operations, to EMS services, to Special Ops. As residents of the Seaford community, Seaford Hook, Ladder & Engine Company #1 members devote significant time and energies above and beyond responding to emergencies by sponsoring and/or assisting with a wide range of community events. From our greenest probationary members, to our longest-serving and honorary members (we recently regaled six members for their 50+ years of service with the Company), our pride in membership is unsurpassed. That pride is evident every day, whether competing under the SFD banner in drill team tournaments or softball games, or protecting property and saving lives. |
