WHAT IS RED RIBBON WEEK?

The Red Ribbon Campaign® is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week® each year. Red Ribbon Week is designed to unite communities and inspire kids to be brave, happy, and drug-free.

At Seaford Manor School, students and faculty spend the week honoring the themes of healthy living, safety, and positive decision making. Students are encouraged to participate and coordinate their attire to match the theme.

This year the Seaford Manor PTA will be hosting two Red Ribbon contests as another way for students to express themselves and their feelings about safe and responsible choices.

Students will participate in safety workshops with our P.O.P. officers and will attend a virtual assembly focused on the importance of making good choices and helping others.

This year's program features a Virtual Parent Workshop that will cover tips on the latest popular apps and games, dealing with conflict online, and helping kids use the internet in safe and positive ways.

Red ribbons will be tied on trees surrounding the Manor School as a visible symbol of our commitment to making safe and responsible choices.
